Resumen
The present work in progress is a learning experience aimed at the potentialization of the socio-emotional dimension of first year engineering students, with emphasis on those located at high and critical risk levels according to the admission assessment, highlighting the importance of the understanding of diversity. At the University of Sciences and Humanities, one of the axes of the educational model is tutoring, so a Positive Tutoring program has been developed in which teacher tutors develop topics using a methodology that combines individual and collective work with techniques such as mindfulness, self-reinforcement, visualization, laughter, causal attributions, based on Seligman's Positive Psychology and the Csikszentmihalyi Flow Theory, with important results: improvement in intrinsic motivation, optimism, resilience, good humor, awareness of emotions and socialization. The purpose is to understand that, from classroom work, teachers effectively collaborate in strengthening the socio-emotional dimension, support of integral learning.
