Resumen
Even though there has been a lot of research published about trade by men, it is also necessary to pay attention to the effort women have made in contributing to the domestic economy, alone or beside their husbands or relatives. This article will identify not only the women from elite social classes, but also women from lower classes in order to verify their contribution to the internal commerce of the northern Peruvian viceroyalty.
