Resumen
The number of people using online video game streaming has increased due to the social distance measures caused by the covid-19 pandemic. This investigation aims to evaluate four motivational factors for watching live broadcasts and their relationship with the intention to watch live streaming video. The study is quantitative, non-probabilistic and uses a regression model to examine five variables. A virtual questionnaire was used and reached a total of 367 valid surveys. The results showed that the variables knowledge acquisition, escape, and social interaction influenced the intention to watch the live-streaming video, but aesthetic appreciation did not. The findings could help to use live-streaming video games in many academic fields, courses, and subjects.
