Resumen
Potato is one of the most important food crops in Cusco, Peru; however, it is affected by a large number of pests that can greatly reduce its yield. Among the most important problems are weevils (Coleoptera: Curculionidae), which, despite numerous studies, have not yet been adequately identified. The present research project was oriented to identify the species of weevils associated to the potato crop. The material deposited in the Entomological Collection of the National University of San Antonio Abad of Cusco was studied. It was possible to identify 20 species belonging to subfamilies Cryptorhynchinae: Maemactes vestitus Kirsch, 1875; Cyclominae: Adioristidius costulatus (Hustache, 1938), A. manu Morrone, 1994, Amathynetoides nitidiventris, Antarctobius sp., Falklandiopsis magellanica (Morrone, 1992), Hyperoides victus (Germain, 1896), Nacodius alectrus Morrone, 1994, Puranius obrienorum Morrone, 1994 and Telurus sp.; and Entiminae: Cylydrorhinus villosulus (Hustache, 1926), C. elongatus (Kuschel, 1949), Cylydrorhinus sp., Amitrus mundus (Erichson, 1834), A. nitens Voss, 1947, Premnotrypes solaniperda (Kuschel, 1956), P. latithorax (Pierce, 1914), P. pusillus (Kuschel, 1956), Rhinotrypes grossepunctatus Kuschel, 1956 and R. laevigatus Kuschel, 1956.
