Resumen

Currently, the world is grappling with the pandemic unleashed by COVID-19, which has radically transformed the way in which various activities of the global population are carried out. The Peruvian State issued Urgency Decree No. 100-2020 to ensure that societies, associations, foundations, or other private legal entities regulated by special laws would not encounter obstacles in holding their respective meetings, general assemblies, and electoral events aimed at renewing their leadership bodies. It is precisely in this context that the Teachers' Union of the National University of Trujillo - Peru (SUDUNT) conducted its electoral process for changing its leadership. The challenge, beyond implementing technology, involved managing change to achieve participant acceptance. Ultimately, the use of technology allowed teachers to vote from home, using their laptops or mobile devices, successfully carrying out the electoral process despite the majority initially being reluctant to use this type of software.
