Resumen

One of the primary diseases worldwide is Cancer. The main disturbances are fatigue, nausea, depression, and anxiety, reducing the quality of life, with difficulty in performing activities of daily living (ADL). Cancer survivors have mainly chronic pain. This topic is a challenge in research, the management, and reduction of pain in cancer survivors. Multimodal solutions are focused on physical, occupational, psychological, and pharmacological treatments. In the last few years, there have been studies based on the use of virtual and augmented environments as a complement in the intervention periods for chronic pain in cancer patients. The use of Relaxing Environments (RE) in the sessions is a novel solution in this research line, with few studies showing enrichments in chronic pain. For this reason, the purpose of this paper is to test a technological system to analyze the feasibility and usability of a different RE in cancer patients with neuropathic chronic pain. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2026.
