Resumen
The most important tool for a psychotherapist is the word and the therapeutic bond. This study evaluated the psychometric properties (factorial structure, reliability, and validity) of the Alliance Negotiation Scale (ANS-A) in a sample of 246 Peruvian patients undergoing psychotherapy (>3 sessions). A confirmatory factor analysis supported a two-factor solution with acceptable fit: χ²(53) = 96.00, p <.001, CMIN/DF = 1.82, CFI =.95, TLI =.94, RMSEA =.06, SRMR =.04, AIC = 1,013. A second-order model was also tested and showed acceptable fit: χ²(53) = 121.94, p <.001, CMIN/DF = 2.3, CFI =.99, TLI =.98, RMSEA =.08, SRMR =.06, GFI =.99. Internal consistency vas satisfactory (α =.82; ω =.83). The ANS-A demonstrated concurrent validity via significant correlations with the Working Alliance Inventory-Short Revised (WAI-S), and provided evidence of convergent and discriminant validity. Overall, the findings indicate that the ANS-A exhibits a stable factorial structure and adequate reliability and validity for use in Peruvian clinical population.
