Resumen
This study aims to validate a questionnaire on perceptions, practices, and attitudes towards the use of generative artificial intelligence chatbots for academic purposes of university Peruvian students. The instrument is structured in two sections: the first investigates demographic and academic data; the second assesses perceptions, practices, and attitudes towards the use of generative artificial intelligence chatbots. The questionnaire is administered to 1387 college students and is validated by expert judgments, factor analysis, and omega coefficient. Validation indicates that the instrument exhibits elevated levels of reliability and internal consistency. The proposed four-factor model (F1 = Attitude towards the use; F2 = perceived limitations, F3 = practice of use; F4 = perceived benefits) shows a good fit with adequate indices. In conclusion, the confirmatory factor analysis indicates that the four-factor structure has a satisfactory fit with the data analyzed.
