Resumen
Introduction – The use of web platforms and mobile applications for understanding environmental certifications in university contexts is framed within digital transformation and its impact on learning processes. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the use of web platforms and mobile applications and the level of understanding of ISO and NTP environmental certifications among participants from academic, professional, and general population groups linked to the National University Jorge Basadre Grohmann. Methods – A quantitative, applied study was conducted using a non-experimental, cross-sectional design with a correlational–explanatory scope. The sample consisted of 870 participants from academic, professional, and general population groups, selected through non-probabilistic voluntary sampling. Data were collected through a validated Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using structural equation modeling with bootstrap estimation (5, 000 resamples). Results – The findings indicate statistically significant associations among the constructs. However, when applying bootstrap confidence intervals as the primary inferential criterion, only a subset of relationships demonstrates inferential stability, while others present intervals including zero, indicating non-conclusive effects. Conclusion – The use of digital platforms is associated with the understanding of environmental certifications among heterogeneous participant groups. Nevertheless, the variability in inferential stability indicates that these relationships are context-specific and must be interpreted cautiously, in accordance with the non-experimental design and non-probabilistic sampling strategy.
