Resumen
The use of information and communication technologies has become widespread in the context of the pandemic generated by Covid-19, especially in the business field, which has undergone a digital transformation despite the limitations and opportunities. This study analyzes the use of ICTs in fast food service companies in the central region of Peru. To this end, 14 companies participated through their directors or managers. An ad hoc instrument was used to collect data. The results show that 42.9% of the companies use information and communication technologies, and in terms of the dimensions evaluated, it was found that 50.0% manage knowledge with the help of technologies, 35.7% optimize processes through digital media and 78.6% have implemented electronic commerce. It is concluded that less than half of the fast-food companies use information and communication technologies for their value chain process, but they do show the intention of implementing them, so much so that e-commerce has been the most used by fast food companies in this context.
