Resumen
River corridors are fundamental arteries in the territory, introducing elements of nature and health into urban spaces that make up the green and blue infrastructure. Rehabilitating urban river sections, which have been severely damaged in the Anthropocene, is a major challenge for the 21st century. River-city connectivity and permeability are key to rehabilitation with the aim of river, urban and territorial resilience. However, in practice there are few success stories, compared to numerous conventional actions with no environmental objective. Several case studies are presented in which the positive and negative aspects of the actions and their results are evaluated. The conclusion is a series of proposals that are still difficult challenges today, but for which there is a positive context, at least in Europe, with only a lack of will in decision-making. © Sud-Ouest Européen.
