Resumen

Squamous uracus cancer, the least common and most aggressive type of cancer, is predominantly found in adult males. This neoplasm, due to its aggressive nature, demands close vigilance in diagnosis and treatment. In its early stages, patients are often asymptomatic, making it difficult to detect. However, when symptoms do appear, they may include hematuria, abdominal pain, and a palpable mass. The cornerstone of treatment is surgery, which involves the complete resection of the urachus and adjacent tissue with free margins, along with cystectomy and pelvic lymphadenectomy. Adjuvant chemotherapy may be considered in cases with positive surgical margins or positive nodes. We present the case of a 68-year-old man diagnosed with Squamous Urachus Cancer stage IIIB, who underwent surgery and adjuvant chemotherapy with a good response and outcome. © (2026), (Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, Facultad de Medicina).
