Updates on Chnoodini (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae): Taxonomic changes and descriptions of new species from South America

Resumen

Six new species are described: Chnoodes migueli Churata & Duarte-de-Mélo sp. nov. (Brazil), Chnoodes felis Churata & Almeida sp. nov. (Peru), Exoplectra luciae Churata & Basílio sp. nov. (Peru), Gordonita guillermoi Churata & Almeida sp. nov. (Bolivia), Gordonita norae Churata & Almeida sp. nov. (Bolivia), and Gordonita tijeoi Churata & Almeida sp. nov. (Peru). In addition, the following taxonomic changes in Chnoodes Chevrolat and Exoplectra Chevrolat are proposed based on the study of type material: Novius bipunctatus (Gorham, 1895) comb. nov., Platynaspis bistripustulata (Ritsema, 1876) comb. nov., and Zenoria irregularis (Crotch, 1874) comb. nov.
