Resumen
Juvenile nasopharyngeal angiofibroma (JNA) is a rare benign neoplasm. Although radiation therapy (RT) can be used in advanced disease, its use in resource-limited settings remains debatable due to limited evidence. We report the case of an 18-year-old patient with JNA who showed tumor progression despite multiple previous surgeries. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he received RT with cobalt-60 (3,600 cGy in 18 fractions to the nasopharynx). This case suggests that RT could represent a therapeutic alternative in resource-limited settings and in complex clinical contexts.
