Resumen
Plants of the same species can be consumed to improve the clinical manifestations of certain ailments, but their toxicity may vary, so it is important to know the appropriate concentrations. This study determined the toxicity of leaf extracts of P. mollisima (Pm), P. huamachucoensis (Ph), and P. quarangularis (Pq) that caused the mortality of Artemia franciscana (shrimp) evaluated using the Ibero-American Science and Technology Program (CYTED) method and Danio rerio (zebrafish) using OECD Test No. 203, Isaza and de Ramírez. It was found that (Pm) is relatively harmless to artemia and non-toxic to zebrafish, (Ph) is moderately toxic to artemia and has intermediate toxicity to zebrafish, and (Pq) is highly toxic to artemia and caused total mortality of zebrafish after three hours of exposure.
