Resumen
Universities in the process of Accreditation seek to be more efficient, effective, increase their productivity and require appropriate tools for better performance of their activities. This work shows the experience of developing a tool for the treatment of digital file names based on a predefined structure where the management of the data that are components of the file names are in structured records of each type of document stored in a database. The Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology’s criterion 6 FACULTY was used as a case study for the Systems Engineering degree. The tool was developed applying the extreme programming methodology. Results show that the user requirements for digital file renaming are satisfied. Concluding that the tool provides the technological support to treat the digital files evidences of the academic work of the professor in the process of Accreditation and Reaccreditation.
