Resumen
Hyperthyroidism is a frequent entity in our environment, however, one of its unusual manifestations in a state of thyrotoxicosis is muscle paralysis. We present the case of a male patient who was admitted due to hypokalemic muscular paralysis associated with thyrotoxicosis and we review the theoretical aspects of the pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment of this uncommon entity in emergency rooms, which can even be confused with other causes of paralysis such as Guillain-Barré syndrome.
