Resumen
This study aimed to examine differences in academic stressors according to the demographic and academic characteristics of business students in Chile. A quantitative cross-sectional study was conducted using a non-probability sample. The Academic Stressors Scale (ECEA) was administered, and its psychometric properties were assessed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), including indicator reliability, internal consistency reliability, convergent validity, discriminant validity, and a supplementary assessment of model fit. Differenc-es between groups were subsequently examined using the Mann– Whitney U and Kruskal–Wallis H tests, followed by Dunn's post hoc comparisons with Bonferroni correction. The findings con-firmed the sound psychometric performance of the ECEA and revealed higher levels of academic stress among students with-out children, third-year students, those from rural areas, wom-en, full-time students, and single students. These findings provide evidence to inform targeted institutional strategies for promoting student well-being and improving student retention.
