Resumen
ChatGPT’s usage has been increasing in different educative contexts, because of that it is necessary a greater comprehension of its use, even more in contexts with scarce empiric evidence. So, an exploratory analysis is conducted to evaluate intention to use and real use of ChatGPT among Peruvian university students based on gender and study mode, using an instrument that measures both variables and sociodemographic questions. Results shows that women have a greater intention to use the program and they use it with more frequency. Taking into consideration the study mode, women from blended learning evidence greater intention to use and real use. Nevertheless, in the case of men, the intention to use is greater in the on-site mode, but the real use is greater in the blended learning mode. It is emphasized that the use of this program is influenced by sociodemographic variables and knowing this improves the comprehension of new technologies’ adoption by the students.
