Resumen
This paper aims to confront the worldview of Octavio Paz, from the ominous configuration that he attributes to man and the suggestion inferred for bringing his optimal transition from suspension or truncation to dynamism or the concretization of projects and utopias. This literary interpretation is developed from «Masks of Dawn» and «Night Review» of his poetry book The Violent Season (1958). To demonstrate this authorial condensation and understand its intention, I add Stefano Arduini's epistemology based on the figurative fields that are useful as an organization system for tropes and that are governed by metaphorical, synecdochical, metonymic, elliptical, antithetical and repetitive thoughts, according to each case. This taxonomy has been studied by the researcher Camilo Fernandez Cozman, who incorporates for a more fruitful analysis the intervention of the interlocutors who participate in the lyrical discourse. © JESÚS_MIGUEL_DELGADO_DEL_ÁGUILA.
