Resumen

This article analyses the professional career of the Sevillian painter José del Pozo in the city of Lima at the end of the 18th century. The study explores the reasons projected by the painter and his artistic production through his career in the Malaspina Expedition and the establishment of his drawing school and workshop. The temporal space that we will develop will comprise between the years 1789 and 1801.
