Resumen
During the third campaign of the extirpation of idolatries (1650) in a rural doctrine of the Archdiocese of Lima, in the central highlands of Peru, two criminal proceedings were opened against Juana Ycha and Ines Carua Chumbi, who were accused of witchcraft. To spatially and temporally contextualize these documents, an analysis and comparison were carried out using data from archaeological surveys and aerial imagery. In this way, the study proposes the spatial location and characterization of the sacred landscapes where the officiants performed rituals dedicated to Apo Parato and Apo Quircay. © (2026), (Universidad Catolica del Norte).
