Resumen
This chapter argues for the benefits of video games in the socialization of children in Latin America. It starts from the role culture plays in different parameters of childhood, showing how important the mediation of video games can be in the ability to face and resolve conflicts; for the construction of citizenship and strengthening resilience; and in mitigating social isolation, including during the global pandemic in 2020.
