Resumen
The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of digital wallets on the financial inclusion of employed university students in southern Lima. The research identifies barriers such as fraud, costs, and distrust in digital applications, which limit their adoption. A quantitative approach was used, with a non-experimental, correlational, and cross-sectional design. The technique used was a survey and a structured questionnaire was used for accounting students at a private university in southern Lima, selected by stratified probability sampling. Using Pearson's correlation coefficient, the results confirm the positive and significant relationship between both variables (r=0.673; p<0.01), suggesting a moderate-to-high association. As long as wallets are used appropriately, access to financial services is expanded, favoring the inclusion of young people in the financial system. It is concluded that existing technological tools bring direct benefits to students, although there are limitations that may affect their perception of use. Likewise, the study fills a gap in the national literature and offers useful input for improving digital financial services for the student population.
