Resumen
Based on the reading of two plays (La Cautiva and NN12), I postulate that their main characters, who at first appear as "corpses", will reach the status of spectres on stage. This transition will be important, since it will allow them to reveal their condition of abject subjects in relation to their gender. Thus, the female specters will function as memory devices and will reveal themselves not only as the conventional subject "disappeared" after the Latin American dictatorships, but, above all, as the violated female subject (gine sacra). This will be achieved through two theatrical mechanisms: dramatic dialogue (testimony) and theatrical allegory. To support this hypothesis, tools from theater analysis and cultural criticism will be employed. It is concluded that both representations constitute essential tools in the processes of memory and justice.
