Resumen
The objective of this article is to take an approach to the way in which the native and the Indian are represented in the novel El tungsteno by César Vallejo. We start from the hypothesis that in the novel primitivist conceptions of society coexist with the demands of revolutionary social change. We are also interested in answering questions related to the type of political-philosophical conception that animates the representation of the native and the indigenous and whether we are facing a narrative that seeks to represent the horizon of primitive communism through the idea of the “good savage” to precipitate the class contradictions in the novel.
