THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PERUVIAN WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT AND THEIR PARTICIPATION IN PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION

Becerra Castillo Z.P.; Martinez Bornaz D.; Garay Verastegui V.C. · Revista Aequitas (2024)

Resumen

For many years, public management spaces and politics in general have been occupied by a predominantly male population. This is largely because it was “common sense” for men to hold positions while women were only limited to the domestic and private space. However, with the changes that have occurred in recent decades, gender roles are changing and it is possible to see more women in the public sphere. This change is largely due to empowerment. Thus, this work will seek to explore what empowerment means and what its relationship is with participation in Public Management.
