Resumen
This article aims to analyze the feasibility of considering water as a subject of rights within the Peruvian legal system. The methodological approach employed is documentary analysis, which involves examining documents encompassing various compiled sources. In this work, primary sources include Political Constitutions, laws, and judicial decisions, while secondary sources consist of legal doctrine and articles, both at the national and international levels. From the studies, it was concluded that it is feasible to grant water the status of a "subject of rights" in Peru. This is because it is the State's duty to ensure a responsible and sustainable management of water, recognizing its vital importance for ecosystems and humanity.
