Resumen
The contribution has two moments. First, will be focus on the thought of Alasdair MacIntyre to consider his representation of the neo-Aristotelian moral agent: what are the characteristics of character and intelligence that an ordinary person who, in the context of our culture, aspires to live according to the anthropological and ethical principles of Aristotle and Saint Thomas Aquinas? At this point the text introduces the thoughts about the topic of another well-known communitarian and neo-Aristotelian thinkers such as Martha Nussbaum, Charles Taylor and Michel Sandel. Secondly, I will use MacIntyre himself, and other contemporary thinkers to make an "x-ray of our time," highlighting especially those cultural characteristics that threaten the deployment of nous as its most proper function of the human being.
