Guerrero Ávila Z.E.; Barrios Palacios Y.D.; Tumbaco Pincay M.M.; Quila Franco R.M. · Universidad y Sociedad (2022)

Resumen

Learning to read and write is a fundamental tool, both at an individual and social level, which has a direct impact on the success or failure of boys and girls, both in the school and social context. In contemporary education, difficulties in the teaching-learning process of reading and writing are identified as a problem. A research process was deployed based on the descriptive research approach, aimed at proposing ludic pedagogical strategies considering the contribution of Physical Education to strengthen literacy in second year students of General Basic Education of an educational institution in the province of Guayas, Republic of Ecuador. The observation technique was used to identify the level of knowledge of the Second Year students of General Basic Education of the Rafaela Vallejo Barahona School, the methodological teaching strategies used by teachers to develop reading and writing were observed and an interview was applied to the classroom teachers. The incidence of the application of ludic techniques in the teaching-learning process of literacy is demonstrated; the game as a learning technique allows children to appropriate the object of knowledge in a more enjoyable and fun way, which is indicative of the need for teachers to use these techniques as methodological strategies to improve school performance and well-being in children, as well as their conviction that ludic techniques contribute to the learning of literacy.
