Resumen

Nowadays there is a huge amount of software that it is being used in many universities globally to teach students mathematics at an undergraduate level. For instance, Matlab, Wolfram Mathematica, Maple and software alike are used to teach students to plot functions and solve integrals and derivatives. These computational tools have produced positive results in the academic performance of the undergraduate students in regard to mathematics courses. In this work, we analized the perspectives of the students about the courses of mathematics of the electronic and systems engineering programs from the Peruvian university of Sciences and Humanities. Our results show that the undergraduate students are quite satisfied with the use of software in the courses of mathematics when compared to the the traditional approach, that is to say without any computational tool. Moreover, they enjoyed more the learning of mathematics with these software.
