Resumen

The history of women in neuroradiology in Latin America is marked by the contributions of several female physicians who chose and dedicated their careers to the development of modern medicine in the field of neuroradiology. They played a crucial role in establishing neuroradiology as a medical specialty in Latin America. Even taking into account the development of laws and society, women continue to face great challenges. Thanks to their determination and competence in the exercise of their profession, women are gaining recognition. Their participation in Radiology Societies and other Medical Societies has intensified. Their scientific, technical, administrative, and leadership contributions are becoming increasingly relevant.
