Resumen
The Principles for Responsible Investment in Agriculture and Food Systems (CFS-IRA) contribute to sustainable development from a global, comprehensive and agreed proposal, focusing on food security. However, without clear objectives and indicators that can be adapted to each context, it is difficult to know their impact. The recent International Business Program on the CFS-IRA Principles in collaboration with FAO, developed by the GESPLAN research group of the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM), in correspondence to the FAO-UPM letters of agreement, with the participation of 20 universities from 10 countries, has had among one of its working groups the one coordinated by the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (UNMSM) and made up of actors from the central highlands of Peru, defined as a case. The case study analyzes the information from 14 discussion workshops on problems related to the ten CFS-IRA Principles, and proposes objectives and indicators that can be implemented from project management to contribute to the sustainable rural development of territories in the Peruvian highlands. 67 objectives and 117 indicators were defined, whose implementation and monitoring will allow measuring the contribution of the projects to sustainable rural development with potential application to the entire Peruvian territory.
