Resumen
This paper deals with the Aymara of the Peruvian Altiplano in the bicentennial, whose objective is to analyze and interpret the situation of representation and current political participation of the population settled in the south of Peru. In the results, in the first instance, it contextualizes the reality of the Aymara of the Peruvian Altiplano in the bicentennial; secondly, it analyzes the Aymara representation in the different spaces of power; and thirdly, it interprets the processes of homogenization and the Aymara resistance. It concludes that despite the processes of exclusion and homogenization that the Aymara people lived through, their traditional practices as a culture are still in force. Although there is no evidence of legitimate political representation of the Aymara people in the bicentennial, this constitutes a pending agenda to be faced by its different actors and sectors.
