Tetrathylacium vraem (Salicaceae), a new remarkable tree from the highly threatened forest in the southern Peruvian Amazon

Resumen

The new species Tetrathylacium vraem (Salicaceae) is described. It inhabits terra firme forests that are threatened in the southern Amazon region of Peru. A description, illustrations, a distribution map, taxonomic key to the genus Tetrathylacium and taxonomic comparisons with similar species (T. longirachis, T. macrophyllum and T. nutans) are provided.
