Resumen
Poor sleep quality generates negative consequences on the health, physical and psychological well-being of people. Therefore, in this situation, a mobile application called "Deep Sleep"was proposed to help university students improve their sleep quality. The main value of this application lies in the user's monitoring with a psychologist, who will be able to check the sleep quality of university students and interact directly with them. In addition, it differs from other applications because it provides personalized recommendations based on the user's habits and calculates the quality of sleep through the PSQI (Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index) questionnaire. The proposal was validated by 2 psychologists and 30 university students through 2 business processes: "Sleep quality management"and "Medical management of sleep monitoring". The results after using the application indicate an improvement in the sleep quality of university students by reducing by 20% the number of users who initially had poor quality sleep. In addition, an average waiting time for setting up an appointment with a psychologist of 4 hours and 22 minutes was recorded, which was shorter compared to the waiting time for a traditional medical appointment. Finally, 79.63% satisfaction was obtained from end-users when using the application.
