Mazuelos A.G.F.; Pelaez N.R.Y.; Cerna E.A. · Proceedings of the 2021 IEEE 1st International Conference on Advanced Learning Technologies on Education and Research, ICALTER 2021 (2021) · DOI: 10.1109/icalter54105.2021.9675087

Resumen

In this article, a technological solution is proposed that allows the consumption of healthy food and physical activities in times of pandemic. The two main causes of obesity and being overweight are the high caloric intake that leads to an unbalanced diet and physical inactivity that, as we live today, it is difficult to do exercises and sports as before. Currently, Peru is in fourth place in the increase in the weight of the population in this pandemic. People have gained an average of seven point seven kilograms approximately being surpassed by countries like Argentina, Mexico and Saudi Arabia. Currently, there are various types of mobile solutions that allow different users to lose weight. However, these applications are only calorie counters and do not have professional support in health to overcome obesity and overweight. Therefore, the technological solution that is proposed in this project seeks to promote the consumption of a healthy diet and physical activities through the various nutritional plans that the nutritionist will provide to the respective patient. The technological solution has a mobile application for the patient and a web application for the nutritionist. The case study of this project was validated with a sample of eight patients between twenty and twenty-five years of age with a Body Mass Index greater than twenty-five points and three nutrition specialists. The eight patients used the mobile application for a period of one week where they could view the nutritional plans that the nutritionist had assigned them. The results for a healthy diet consumption and physical activities were positive and had a growth of twenty percent compared to the first session with the patients.
