Technological Model for the Prevention of Leaks of Medical Records Based on Blockchain Technology in the Peruvian Health Sector

Pacheco D.F.R.; Vasquez S.D.Y.; Falcon V.M.P. · Proceedings of the 2024 IEEE 31st International Conference on Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computing, INTERCON 2024 (2024) · DOI: 10.1109/intercon63140.2024.10833483

Resumen

This document proposes a technological model for the Peruvian health sector, which uses blockchain technology, IPFS and smart contracts to protect and ensure secure access to medical records. The model addresses the rise of health data breaches, identifies limitations of current approaches, and presents a new approach divided into four phases. It uses IPFS for decentralized information storage and a consensus algorithm for fast transactions.
