Resumen
The post-pandemic situation increased the population’s interest in news about PA, generating infodemics transmitted by modern technologies that impacted exercise, sports, and the practice of PA. It was proposed to evaluate the relationship between media misinformation and physical activity in students of the National University of San Agustín de Arequipa (UNSA). Determining the levels of misinformation, identifying types, creators and influence on perceptions and how they influence the practice of PA, identifying benefits and type of activity practiced before and after the pandemic. Concluding that most students know the benefits of physical activity. In addition, there is a negative perception about the news related to COVID-19; and that Facebook and WhatsApp are considered sources of imprecise information provided by close individuals, while the information provided by health entities and professionals positively influenced the perception of information on COVID-19 in the population.
