The objective is to identify the sociocultural causes that generate gender violence in families in the rural sector. The applied research method based on a systematic review, with a mixed approach in Scielo, Scopus, Dialnet and Redalyc publications, where discouraging results are shown, the macho behavior of men towards women maintains discriminatory consumption, education, decorum and family activities decisions. It is concluded that gender violence in rural areas maintains latent conservative behaviors that culturally strengthen inequality and it is necessary for the State to assume responsibility for power in the face of a latent problem..
