Systematic review based on professional learning communities and managerial leadership

Resumen

The field of school management creates new spaces for reflection and good practices. The research sought to describe the scientific production on Professional Learning Communities, analyzing trends within managerial leadership. The method was a systematic literature review of 35 master’s and doctoral theses, which were recovered from the National Repository of Research Works in Peru, produced from 2020 to 2023. The results show a slow evolution of theses referring to the variable, with high centrality in postgraduate studies from private universities in the capital; They essentially explore the school environment and urban contexts, and there are few studies linked to managerial leadership. The quantitative approach is prioritized with the dominant use of the questionnaire. In conclusion, the research trend around professional learning communities in postgraduate theses in Peru is in an initial state and stagnating as a line of research.
