Resumen
The critical theorists conceive the interactionist administration as antithesis of the consensus functionalist administration, in this sense the interactionism has been characterized by explaining the phenomena that explain the organizational functioning even of the educational sector. In this way the different theoretical functionalist positions on sustainability and competitiveness applied to the management of higher education are contrasted, for which the questioning is formulated, Are resilience and quality strategies that articulate the sustainability and competitiveness of higher education?, the intention is to respond from the theoretical point of view, through a qualitative, exploratory approach and documentary bibliographic analysis in databases, of classic and contemporary authors.
