Resumen
This work presents a detailed study on the effectiveness of energy dissipators composed of simple geometric figures, such as squares and triangles, in dissipating energy in fluid flows. Using the powerful Autodesk Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation tool, simulations were carried out to analyze fluid velocities and pressures around these geometries. The main objective of this study is to provide a deeper understanding of how these geometric shapes affect the flow and dissipation of energy, with implications in practical applications that require the design and optimization of energy dissipation devices, turbulent conditions were also evaluated with mathematical models that helped us analyze the behavior of water flow, choosing the one that is closest to our reality.
