Study of heritage education on the history of the territory: key to the future of municipal tourism management in the district of Vichayal, province of Paita

Espino D.G. · Historia Regional (2025)

Resumen

Heritage education is a phenomenon that is gradually intervening in the appreciation of the history of the territory through cultural heritage. To achieve its consolidation, it is necessary to involve municipal tourism management as an agent that allows motivating various actors such as authorities, municipal servants, and organized civil society in the defense and conservation of heritage. The research was based on a qualitative approach and phenomenological design, where authorities and municipal servants participated, which has allowed us to know in depth this phenomenon of study. The results of the work direct us in the identification of a priori categories and emerging categories that are part of the research. Once the coding and subcategorization were carried out, the categories were identified; public authorities, heritage education, history, municipal tourism management, and motivation that are part of the phenomenon of study.
