Resumen
Commercial architecture seeks to balance functionality, aesthetics, and user experience in commercial spaces. This systematic review, conducted using the PRISMA methodology, identified the key elements that enhance this experience in shopping centers. After analyzing databases such as Scopus and Web of Science (2019-2024), 25 studies were selected from an initial total of 4,070 publications. The results show significant scientific output in 2021 and 2023, concentrated in China. The most relevant architectural and environmental factors for improving user perception and comfort are lighting, spatial distribution, accessibility, signage, and the incorporation of natural elements. The literature reports that these optimized designs increase user satisfaction by 36%, according to studies employing "pre-post" designs and satisfaction surveys. It is concluded that user-centered approaches increase the functionality and appeal of establishments, promoting a more comfortable and efficient experience. This review underscores that physical and perceptual factors are more relevant than technological integration, highlighting design strategies that directly influence user well-being and spatial efficiency. © LEIRD 2025.All rights reserved.
