The present research comprises the state of the art of Strategic Planning and its relationship with prospective in companies. The main concepts of the literature by different authors of the scientific community are presented. Strategic Planning is considered a systematic business process that aims at creating strategies focused on achieving the company's objectives. The methodology used is the systematic review of research, resulting in a total of 69 studies, 22 of which were selected. The inclusion criteria were related to the most relevant research on the subject between 2013-2023, in addition to the search and analysis of scientific studies in articles and journals in the Scopus and Web of Science databases. The discussion shows points of view of different positions regarding both terms. It identifies the links between the concepts of strategic planning and prospective, a concept that explains the importance of prospective as a tool for projecting future scenarios in order to plan strategies, minimizing risks, taking advantage of opportunities and preparing the company to act in advance in a constantly changing environment. It is concluded that strategic planning is associated with prospective analysis, which is fundamental in the generation of plans for the company's success.
