Resumen

Quality strategic decision making in organizations is essential for long-term sustainability. This article examines the common challenges organizations face when making such decisions, and highlights the Decisional Quality (DQ) approach to evaluating and improving decisions before they are made. A systematic process is presented that encourages dialogue between decision makers and decision teams (experts), with a clear vision towards achieving DQ, promoting a decisional culture that complements the operational excellence that exists in institutions. By adopting this approach, organizations can significantly improve the quality of their strategic decisions and strengthen their ability to adapt and thrive in uncertain, dynamic and complex environments.
