Resumen
Objective: to determine the management of humanized care and spirituality in nursing professionals working in a military hospital. Methods: A quantitative approach was used, with a correlational, cross-sectional and non-experimental design. The sample consisted of 181 nursing professionals working in various specialized services of a police hospital in Lima. Two validated instruments were used: the first assessed humanized care management (30 items distributed in six dimensions; α = 0.91) and the second, spirituality (29 items in four dimensions; α = 0.85), both with a Likert-type scale. Results: revealed a positive correlation between spirituality and several dimensions of humanized care, with the exception of conflict management. It is concluded that spirituality constitutes an essential component to strengthen empathy, communication and quality of care, highlighting the importance of an integral approach in the training and professional practice of nursing personnel.
