Solving Quantum Box Without Explicit Quantum Mechanics

Nieto-Chaupis H. · Proceedings - 2024 28th ACIS International Winter Conference on Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Networking and Parallel/Distributed Computing, SNPD-Winter 2024 (2024) · DOI: 10.1109/snpd-winter67015.2024.00017

Resumen

The well-known model of particle in a box or infinite square well constitutes a basic methodology to explore the fundamentals of quantum mechanics. The understanding of this model would allow to students to acquire capabilities to enter other levels of quantum mechanics that shall be needed to a deep comprehension of advanced topics of applied physics in engineering. In this paper, the scenario by which a wall is moving at constant velocity in one dimension, is studied. The single assumption that a wall has a finite velocity demands to incorporate geometrical strategies. Thus, a similar scenario of quantum harmonic oscillator has been derived as well as the Green function has also been calculated in according to free particle model, indicating the validity of opted approach consisting essentially in a wall moving away.
