Resumen
The use of smart technologies applied to tourism seems to have breathed new life into the sector that had been paralyzed by COVID-19. Thus, it was decided to analyze these resources, adding variables such as memorable experiences, attachment to the place, attitude, and intention to review. The proposed research was quantitative, cross-sectional, and explanatory in scope collected through an online survey with a non-probabilistic convenience sampling of 372 people between 24 and 50 years’ old who visited a tourist destination in Lima, Peru. The proposed hypotheses were operationalized through a second-order SEM statistical model, through the SMART PLS program, achieving the validation of the five proposed hypotheses. Among the most relevant findings, it was identified that there is a strong relationship between memorable tourist experiences and attachment to the place, because, if the tourist creates a connection with the place, this destination would have a significant value for the traveler. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.
